The China 1 Jiao Banknote, issued by the People’s Bank of China in 1980, highlights images of various ethnic minority groups in the People’s Republic of China. On the obverse, Gaoshan and Manchu men don their traditional clothing. The reverse side features the national emblem alongside the inscription “People’s Bank of China” in four scripts: Mongolian, Tibetan, Uyghur, and Zhang, representing the principal ethnic minority languages supported by the state. This banknote, measuring 115 x 52 mm, features shades of brown and yellow. It lacks a security thread or watermark and is preserved in uncirculated condition.
