This uncirculated 100 Russian ruble note commemorates the 2018 FIFA World Cup Games held in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018. The blue, green, yellow, and red note is vertically oriented, dated 2018, and introduced by the Bank of Russia on 22 May 2018. Its obverse side depicts a young boy holding on to a soccer ball while looking at Lev Yashin, the Russian goalkeeper, as he dives to stop the ball. Its reverse side features a stylized Russian flag with the fans’ silhouettes, a stylized globe on a soccer ball with Russia in the center, and the names of the host cities. The note is made of polymer so there is no security thread or watermark. However, there is a Quick Recognition (QR) code in front. Its dimensions are 150 mm x 65 mm.
