The 1,000 Indonesian Rupiah Banknote from the 2000-2016 series features a portrait of Kapitan Pattimura. Its obverse side features the coat of arms of Indonesia and Thomas Matulessy, also known as Kapitan Pattimura holding a machete. The reverse side features the beautiful Maitara and Tidore islands, a picturesque view of the lake with two men in a boat, mountains, and clouds. The note is 141 x 65 mm in size and is equipped with a solid security thread printed with BANK INDONESIA to enhance its security features. A shadow image of Tjut Meutia is also made visible under a UV light. It is also signed by DEPUTY GUBERNUR SENIOR Anwar Nasution and DEPUTY GOVERNOR Aulia Pohan. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
