Its obverse side features a lion rampant, a crowned coat of arms, a unicorn rampant, a sailing ship, and a Chinese junk ship. Its reverse side shows two reclining lion statues flanking the 4th HSBC headquarters building in Central District, a Chinese junk ship, and a modern freight ship.
