The Somalia 50 New Somali Shillings banknote was released in 1991 by the Central Bank of Somalia for the Mogadishu Northern Forces. Its obverse features the coat of arms of Somalia, a man with a handloom, and a star. The reverse of the note depicts a man with a donkey carrying three children. The 138 x 71 mm paper bill comes with a watermark that reflects Sayyid Mohammed Abdullah Hassan. Printed by De La Rue, the banknote carries the signatures of the bank president Omar Ahmed Omar and cashier Hassan Elmi Barkhadle. This Somalia 50 shilling banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated.
