The Japan 100 Yen Banknote was issued by the Bank of Japan in 1953. It has a color combination of purple, black green, light blue, and brown. Its obverse features Itagaki Taisuke who was the leader of Japan’s first political party. The reverse depicts the Diet (Parliament) building in Tokyo. The note does not contain a security thread but bears a watermark that reveals paulownia leaves and flowers and 100. It is 148 x 76 mm in size. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition.
