This uncirculated 5 Ethiopian birr note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the National Bank of Ethiopia. It is a blue note that is dated EE 2009/ AD 2017, bears the signature of Governor Teklewold Atnafu, and measures 140 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side features the map of Ethiopia, a lion head, a coffee branch, and a man harvesting coffee berries. Its reverse side shows a coffee branch, the Simien Mountains, trees, a kudu antelope, elephants, and a caracal cat with a dead bird. Though the note does not have a watermark, it has a windowed security thread with a demetalized NATIONAL BANK OF ETHIOPIA.
