The Egypt 1 Pound banknote was released by the Central Bank of Egypt in 2018. The obverse of the paper bill features the mosque and mausoleum of Sultan Qayetbay at the Mamluks cemetery which is located in Cairo. The back of the note depicts birds and shapes from the structure established by Ramesses II at the facade of the Luxor Temple of Amenophis II, Nefertaris name in a cartouche, seated statues of Ramesses II taken from the Great Temple at Abu Simbel, and the name of Ramesses in a cartouche. The paper bill is 140 x 70 mm in size and has a watermark that reveals the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. This Egyptian 1 Pound banknote is in uncirculated condition.
