This uncirculated 20 Mexican peso banknote was issued by the Bank of Mexico in 2021 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Mexican Independence. It is printed on a polymer substrate to enhance security and durability. The note bears the signatures of Galia Borja Gómez and Alejandro Alegre Rabiela. The obverse side depicts the peaceful entry of the Army of the Three Guarantees into Mexico City on September 27, 1821. The reverse side features the mangrove ecosystem, including a Mexican crocodile and a chocolate heron, at the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. The dimensions of the note are 120 mm x 65 mm.
