This circulated 5 British pound banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of England. It is a blue, brown, yellow, and green polymer banknote that is dated 2015, bears the signature of Chief Cashier Victoria Mary Florence Cleland, and measures 125 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side shows the Bank of England seal, Big Ben, the coronation crown, a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the Bank of England headquarters, and coats of arms. Its reverse side displays the Houses of Parliament in London, the maze at Blenheim Palace in green foil, and a portrait of Winston Churchill. Security features include a Kurz’s Kinegram Colors holographic stripe. This banknote is the first banknote in the world to use Kurz’s Kinegram Colors holographic stripe and the first Bank of England note to be printed on a polymer substrate.
